RISA is pleased to announce the release of the latest version of RISAConnection v17.0. This release delivers major updates focused on keeping your steel connection design current with the latest codes while enhancing everyday connection workflows. The release of RISAConnection v17.0 incorporates the following enhancements and updates: Design to the latest steel design codes: AISC 16th Edition (360-22) and CSA S16-19 Added HSS beam-to-HSS column moment connection design per CSA S16-19 Expanded shape coverage using the AISC historical shape database Enhanced base plate and anchorage workflows, including grout pad modeling and concrete breakout check options Design to the Latest Steel Design Codes RISAConnection v17.0 now includes connection design per the AISC 16th Edition (360-22) Steel Construction Manual, allowing engineers to confidently design steel connections in accordance with the most recent AISC Specification used in the United States. In addition, this release adds connection design per CSA S16-19, expanding RISAConnection’s capabilities for Canadian steel projects and ensuring engineers can meet current Canadian steel design requirements. For Canadian users working with hollow structural sections, the release also introduces HSS beam-to-HSS column moment connection design per CSA S16-19, simplifying the design of these increasingly common framing configurations.
