Alexis brings a strong academic foundation to her role, holding a BS in Architectural Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MS in Structural Engineering & Geomechanics from Stanford University. Before joining RISA, she spent most of her career designing structural systems for K‑12 school facilities, starting in Boston where she built expertise in wind design, then moving west to expand into seismic design across a range of materials and project types.

In her current role as a Solutions Engineer, Alexis loves sharing her enthusiasm for RISA and helping users discover more efficient ways to work within the software. She enjoys stepping back to see the big picture, connecting different aspects of the RISA ecosystem to improve how engineers interact with both the tools and customer support.

When it comes to staying productive, Alexis relies on a few essentials: black tea (preferably Earl Grey) or matcha, lo‑fi beats, soft lighting, and planning some form of exercise into her day. This combination helps her stay focused and energized while balancing technical problem‑solving with thoughtful customer interactions.

Outside of work, Alexis fully embraces life in Washington, where she loves backpacking and hiking, skiing, rock climbing, reading, film photography, baking, and spending time with her dog. Her evenings often include Jeopardy and a rotating lineup of shows like Love Island UK and Million Dollar Secret.
