What's New for Code Updates in RISA

New codes have been added to RISA-3D v13 and RISAFloor v9, these include:

AISI S100-12: Cold-Formed Steel Design Code
CSA 086-09: Canadian Wood Design Code
ACI 530-13: Masonry Design Code

To select these codes for your design, simply choose them from the Codes tab of Global Parameters:

ASCE 7-16 Is Now Available!

The 2016 edition of ASCE Minimum Design Loads and Associated Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures (ASCE 7-16) is now available in RISA-3D v17.0, RISAFloor v13.0, and RISAFoundation v11.0! The seismic & wind load generator has also been updated to include this edition of the code in RISA-3D. To select the ASCE 7-16 code for your seismic design, select from the Seismic tab within the Model Settings: Selecting the ASCE 7-16 code for the wind design can be done by accessing the Wind Load Generator under the Wind Load Options You may also use the load combination generator to select the appropriate load combinations from ASCE 7-16: Note: Many states do not yet require compliance with the 2018 IBC. IBC 2021 Is Now Available!

RISA-3D, RISAFloor and RISAFoundation now include support for IBC 2021! These include: AA ADM1-20 (ASD&LRFD): Currently available in RISA programs! SDPWS 2021: Currently available in RISA programs! Supplement 1 & 2 for AISC 358-16 Seismic Steel Code: Currently available in RISA programs! AISI S100-20: Currently available in RISA programs! AISI S240-20 and S400-20 for CFS Walls: Currently available in RISA programs! To select these codes for your design, simply choose them from the Codes tab of Model Settings: Local State Requirements Many states do not yet require compliance with the 2021 IBC. The ICC publishes a report for which editions are adopted by each state. Their latest report is from July 2022.
