RISA Employee Spotlight: Tim Barton

 Tim Picture 2

Meet Tim Barton, one of RISA's go-to problem solvers and Solutions Engineer extraordinaire! With a background as diverse as his playlist, Tim's engineering journey started with a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Utah State University. Since earning his PE license in Utah, he's tackled everything from industrial structures for mining and construction to steel frameworks, telecom facilities, and even marine structures. Whether it's on land or at sea, Tim's expertise knows no bounds!

In his role at RISA, Tim thrives on helping customers solve problems, implement new solutions, and achieve success. He finds the opportunity to connect directly with customers especially rewarding, knowing that his insights and guidance make a tangible impact. To stay productive, Tim relies on a good notebook for jotting down ideas and, when needed, some chill music to stay focused.

Outside of work, Tim enjoys playing games with family and friends, exploring 3D printing, and hitting the slopes or streets on his snowboard or skateboard. He also loves to travel, discovering new places and experiences. When it comes to unwinding, Tim's Netflix queue has something for every mood—from the historical drama Shogun to the automotive adventures of Roadworthy Rescues and the lighthearted comedy Raising Hope.

With his varied background, technical skills, and dedication to customer success, Tim is an invaluable part of the RISA team!
