Jennifer Johnson is a Technical Support Engineer at RISA, where she helps customers make the most of their RISA software through expert troubleshooting, mentoring, and workflow guidance. She joined the team after 11 years in structural design, bringing with her a strong background in real-world engineering and a passion for helping others succeed.
She holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Lawrence Technological University and has worked on a wide range of industrial and commercial projects across the U.S. Before joining RISA, Jennifer focused on the design of industrial facilities, including frozen storage warehouses, food processing plants, and commercial buildings. Her experience spans structural steel, CMU, and concrete tilt-up systems, as well as equipment supports and anchorage design.
When her husband’s career later brought them to California, Jennifer found the perfect opportunity to combine her technical expertise with her love of collaboration by joining RISA. In her current role, Jennifer enjoys deep diving into RISA software to help engineers get the most out of their tools. “I love mentoring and collaborating with my teammates and customers,” she says. “It’s exciting to be in a position where learning and helping others go hand in hand.”
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys hiking, spending time with her dogs, playing board games, dining out, and exploring new places. She’s also a theatre fan and is currently watching Private Practice and Abbott Elementary while waiting for new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy.
