Written by RISA | Dec 30, 2024

Rebecca Miller, PE, is a Technical Trainer at RISA and has been with the company since 2022. After earning an MS in Structural Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Physics and Mathematics from Concordia College, Rebecca embarked on a career in the Power Delivery industry, followed by a stint in Residential Design. Seeking a nontraditional role that would allow her to merge her technical background with entrepreneurial interests, she transitioned into a position that encouraged personal growth and innovation.

Since joining RISA, Rebecca has thrived in her role as a Technical Trainer, where she finds excitement in the flexibility to continually enhance the customer experience. She enjoys the creative challenge of asking, "How can I improve learning and training?" and then devising new strategies to connect with customers and improve training resources. This room for entrepreneurial thinking and personal growth is what she loves most about her position. When it comes to staying productive, Rebecca’s workspace essentials include a beverage at all times, instrumental covers of popular songs playing in the background, and her trusty notebook, where she brainstorms, prioritizes tasks, and jots down new ideas.

Outside of work, Rebecca and her family spend as much time as possible outdoors, whether enjoying their hobby farm in Minnesota or exploring the mountains in Montana. They love hiking, camping, and cooking outdoors. An avid cook and meal prep enthusiast, Rebecca has also recently taken up baking sourdough bread. In addition, she runs a small business where she hand pours soy candles and helps others start their own side businesses, blending her entrepreneurial spirit with creativity.
