How to Convert a Standalone Key to a Network Key

  1. Open the RISA Key Manager located in C:\Program Files\RISA\RISA Key Manager, C:\RISA\RISA Key Manager or ...\RISA\RISA Key Manager folders, depending on where RISA was installed.

  2. Confirm the Key ID shown matches the key you’re converting and the Key Type is “Standalone”.

  3. Click on the RISA Program you are converting so the black dot is in front of that program and click Upgrade.

  4. Enter the RUS Password from your install email.

  5. Check the box that states Change Key Type from STANDALONE to NETWORK.

  6. Click Upgrade.

  7. The Key Type should now be “Network” and should show “AUTHORIZED” next to your RISA Program.

  8. Complete steps 3-7 for each of the programs that are being converted.

How to Add a New Program to a Network Key

  1. Open the RISA Key Manager located in C:\Program Files\RISA\RISA Key Manager, C:\RISA\RISA Key Manager or ...\RISA\RISA Key Manager folders, depending on where RISA was installed.

  2. Confirm the Key ID shown matches the key you’re converting and the Key Type is “Network”.

  3. Click on the RISA Program you are adding so the black dot is in front of that program and click Upgrade.

  4. Enter the RUS Password from your install email and click Upgrade.

  5. It should now show “AUTHORIZED” next to your RISA Program.

  6. Complete steps 2-5 for each of the programs that are being added.

How to Convert a Network Key to a Standalone Key

  1. Open the RISA Key Manager located in C:\Program Files\RISA\RISA Key Manager, C:\RISA\RISA Key Manager or ...\RISA\RISA Key Manager folders, depending on where RISA was installed.

  2. Confirm the Key ID shown matches the key you’re converting and the Key Type is “Network”.

  3. Click on the RISA Program you are converting so the black dot is in front of that program and click Upgrade.

  4. Enter the RUS Password from your install email.

  5. Check the box that states Change Key Type from NETWORK to STANDALONE.

  6. Click Upgrade.

  7. The Key Type should now be “Standalone” and should show the version number next to your RISA Program.

  8. Complete steps 3-7 for each of the programs that are being added. However, ignore Step 4, as this is only required ONE TIME.

How to Add a New Program to a Standalone Key

  1. Open the RISA Key Manager located in C:\Program Files\RISA\RISA Key Manager, C:\RISA\RISA Key Manager or ...\RISA\RISA Key Manager folders, depending on where RISA was installed.

  2. Confirm the Key ID shown matches the key you’re converting and the Key Type is “Standalone”.

  3. Click on the RISA Program you are adding so the black dot is in front of that program and click Upgrade.

  4. Enter the RUS Password from your install email and click Upgrade.

  5. It should now show the version number next to your RISA Program.

  6. Complete steps 3-5 for each of the programs that are being added.
